I am Roxy van Empel, a self-taught motion graphics designer with a passion for visual storytelling.

My journey into the world of video began in 2017 when I joined an Instagram community and started creating fan edits of my favorite musicians, using their videos and songs to craft engaging content.

​

In 2022, I graduated from ROC Technovium as a Media Designer, further solidifying my foundation in the field. I have also had the privilege of interning at prominent media companies such as MediaMonks and Lukkien, where I gained invaluable industry experience and honed my craft.

For the past seven years, Adobe After Effects has been my primary tool of choice. In 2022, I expanded my skill set by incorporating Blender into my workflow. Currently, I specialize in a wide range of motion graphics, with a particular interest in 3D modeling and animation. My dedication to continuous learning drives me to constantly enhance my skills and explore new techniques.

In June 2024, I launched my freelance startup, Motion by Roxy, which focuses on creating motion graphics and other video content for clients.

Outside of motion graphics, I have a few other passions: collecting rare vinyl records, watching A24 films and going to concerts.
